The German National Tourist Office (GNTO) India has intensified its campaign to capture a greater share of the booming Indian outbound travel market, positioning Germany as a destination rich in culture, leisure, and shopping. Central to this push is the expansion of its ‘India Pool 2025’ initiative, which highlights some of Germany’s most attractive destinations and luxury outlets tailored for Indian travellers.

Rising Popularity Among Indian Travellers

India has emerged as one of the most significant source markets for Germany’s tourism industry. Between January and June 2025, Indian visitors contributed around 440,000 overnight stays in the country. Tourism officials note that this steady growth reflects Indian travellers’ growing confidence in Germany as a top choice for international vacations.

According to GNTO, Indian tourists increasingly seek immersive and high-quality experiences, from family getaways and romantic spa retreats to solo adventures. Germany’s blend of vibrant cities, historic landmarks, scenic landscapes, and luxury wellness options positions it strongly to meet these varied demands.

GNTO Highlights the India Pool Collaboration

Speaking about the renewed focus, Romit Theophilus, Director for Marketing & Sales, GNTO India, said the organization sees “tremendous promise in the Indian market.” He added that the India Pool partners are working closely with GNTO to create personalized and memorable experiences for Indian visitors.
