TERN Group, an AI-powered healthcare recruitment platform, has concluded its latest TERN Talent Tour in Germany, facilitating job placements for Indian nurses amid the country’s rising demand for skilled healthcare professionals. The initiative aligns with the Indo-German workforce development partnership, backed by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, under the Skill India Mission.

Direct Hiring as Germany Faces Healthcare Workforce Shortage

Held in Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich, and Düsseldorf, the Talent Tour offered over 100 nurses from India and other countries direct access to German hospitals. Through on-site interviews, many secured immediate job offers. The initiative comes as Germany struggles to address labor shortages in its healthcare sector, with an aging population driving demand for skilled workers.

“Germany’s need for qualified nurses continues to grow, and ethical recruitment pathways like ours provide a structured, transparent process,” said Avinav Nigam, Founder and CEO of TERN Group. He noted that AI-driven hiring has streamlined placements, reducing bureaucracy and increasing efficiency.

TERN Expands Amid Growing Revenue and Global Recruitment Plans

TERN Group is on track to reach annualized revenue of nearly ₹100 crore this quarter. The company is expanding recruitment efforts to North Africa, Central Asia, Malaysia, and the Philippines, positioning itself as a global player in ethical healthcare staffing.

Over 30 leading German healthcare employers participated in the recruitment sessions, underscoring the growing reliance on international talent. The next Talent Tour, set for February 2025, will include candidates from additional regions to help meet Germany’s healthcare workforce needs.

AI and Training Support Ethical Migration

TERN’s AI-driven platform plays a central role in talent screening, ensuring that Indian nurses meet linguistic and professional standards before migration. The company sponsors B1/B2 German language training, visa processing, travel, accommodation, and meals, removing financial barriers for applicants.

Beyond job placements, the initiative includes cultural and professional integration sessions, helping nurses adapt to German healthcare protocols and workplace expectations. This structured approach aims to curb fraudulent recruitment practices and prevent worker exploitation.

Government and Industry Leaders Back Ethical Recruitment

The Talent Tour has received support from government and industry stakeholders, including Germany’s Federal Health Ministry, Bavaria’s Health Ministry, and India’s National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC). Partnerships with the Trained Nurses’ Association of India (TNAI) and the Indo-German Young Leaders’ Forum (IGYLF) further reinforce efforts to ensure fair hiring practices.

India’s Workforce and Global Mobility

With over 65% of India’s population under 35 and millions unemployed or underemployed, overseas job placements have become a critical pathway for economic mobility. Experts highlight the need for public-private partnerships to align vocational training with global industry requirements, particularly in sectors like healthcare, AI, and advanced manufacturing.

As Germany and other nations look to skilled migration to fill workforce gaps, initiatives like the TERN Talent Tour signal a shift toward structured, ethical recruitment that benefits both professionals and the healthcare systems they serve.
