PM Modi to Deliver

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver the keynote address at the News9 Global Summit in Stuttgart, Germany, scheduled from November 21-23. The summit aims to strengthen ties between India and Germany and promote sustainable growth.

Modi to Address Virtually, Top Indian Ministers to Attend In-Person

Modi’s keynote speech will be delivered virtually at the summit, co-hosted by the TV9 Network and German football club VfB Stuttgart. The event will take place at MHP Arena in Baden-Württemberg’s capital.

India’s Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia are set to attend in person, underscoring India’s high-level engagement with Germany.

Strengthening India-Germany Partnership

Modi’s address highlights India’s commitment to fostering its relationship with Europe’s largest economy. Recently, Modi and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz led the biennial Intergovernmental Consultations (IGC) in October, where both nations formalized agreements, including a treaty for legal assistance in criminal matters and a framework for an innovation and technology partnership. Germany also announced it would increase work visas for skilled Indian workers from 20,000 to 90,000 annually, with a separate pact for recruitment from Maharashtra signed earlier this year.

TV9 Network’s Global Summit Expands India-Germany Dialogue

TV9 Network CEO Barun Das announced that the summit builds on the success of the “What India Thinks Today” conclave. The network aims to support India-Germany initiatives, acting as a “social catalyst” to drive meaningful dialogue that strengthens bilateral ties. “This platform will support the collaborative initiatives between the governments of India and Germany,” said Das.

Summit to Cover Sustainable Growth and Cultural Exchange

Themed “India and Germany: A Roadmap for Sustainable Growth,” the summit will feature sessions on topics such as “Talent, Transformation, and Technology,” “Sustainable Development: Lessons from India’s Northeast,” and “Srinagar to Stuttgart: The Consumer Story.”

The event will also include the Global Icon Awards, recognizing achievements in fields like the automobile industry, business, and entertainment. A musical tribute to India’s first recording artist, Gauhar Jaan, is planned as well.
