Asia’s largest exhibition focused on education, skills, and vocational training will open in New Delhi next week with its strongest-ever global presence, underlining India’s expanding role as a key source of skilled professionals for international markets. Didac India & Didac Skills 2025, jointly organised by Messe Stuttgart India and the India Didactics Association (IDA), will take place from 18–20 November at the India International Convention & Expo Centre.
Now in its 15th edition, the event is expected to attract over 500 exhibitors and more than 40,000 visitors from more than 40 countries, reinforcing its status as Asia’s leading platform for stakeholders in education, training, skilling, and workforce development.
Rising Focus on Skills and Workforce Development Drives Growth
The continued surge in participation reflects a wider regional shift toward strengthening school education, technical training, and employability.
Gaurav Sood, CEO of Messe Stuttgart India, said the momentum is a direct outcome of the sector’s growing policy relevance. Interest in the fair has steadily risen, he noted, because school education and vocational training “remain central priorities for India and its neighbouring countries.” He emphasised that the expanding scale of Didac India demonstrates how urgently the region is focusing on building skilled workforces for future economic needs.
Germany Marks Strongest Presence Yet with Dedicated Pavilion
A major highlight of this year’s event will be Germany’s expanded participation under the theme “Germany meets Didac India & Didac Skills.” The German Pavilion is set to showcase one of the country’s most comprehensive engagements at the fair to date.
The pavilion will feature:
- A joint exhibition zone for participating German companies
- A dedicated information and advisory desk
- An expanded expert forum hosting panel discussions, company presentations, best-practice demonstrations, and interactive activities
The German presence includes eleven companies and five influential institutions: the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Goethe-Institut, GIZ, the Federal Employment Agency, and the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce. In addition, the federal states Baden-Württemberg (“The Länd”) and Thuringia will present their regional talent-mobility initiatives and training ecosystems.
Representatives from Baden-Württemberg International, the Chamber of Skilled Crafts, and its Education Center will promote programmes aimed at enhancing skilled-worker mobility, identify new collaboration avenues, and contribute to the event’s broader knowledge-sharing platform.
International participation is further strengthened by delegations from Australia, the United Kingdom, and Finland, alongside ten Indian Sector Skills Councils, which will bring domestic industry perspectives to the global conversation.
Skilled Worker Mobility Takes Centre Stage in 2025
A defining theme of this year’s edition is the growing emphasis on skilled workforce mobility, particularly between India and Germany. The German Federal Government’s Skilled Worker Strategy for India, adopted in October 2024, highlights Berlin’s commitment to developing long-term recruitment pathways with India to address labour shortages across sectors ranging from manufacturing to healthcare and advanced technologies.
Roland Bleinroth, CEO of Messe Stuttgart, said this year’s fair is closely aligned with Germany’s strategic priorities. He noted that Messe Stuttgart India is contributing directly to efforts led by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the Federal Foreign Office to strengthen German-Indian mobility frameworks.
According to him, Didac India & Didac Skills provides “the right platform to demonstrate how structured engagement can strengthen the recruitment pipeline for Indian skilled workers entering the German economy,” adding that the initiative builds on a long-standing partnership with India.
A Growing Bridge for Indo-German Talent Partnerships
With India recognised globally as a major talent reservoir, Didac India & Didac Skills 2025 is positioned to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of international skilling collaborations. The event aims to deepen cooperation between governments, training providers, and industry leaders, while helping position Germany as an attractive destination for Indian professionals seeking global opportunities.
By spotlighting innovative education technologies, new training models, and cross-border mobility initiatives, the fair is set to strengthen the Indo-German talent ecosystem and expand pathways for skilled Indian workers entering global labour markets.
