In a significant Indo-German collaboration aimed at driving sustainable industrial innovation, India’s Nuberg EPC and Germany’s EDL Anlagenbau Gesellschaft mbH have signed a Technical Collaboration Agreement (TCA). The strategic partnership will focus on engineering advancements in fuel oil refineries, petrochemical industries, green hydrogen derivatives, and environmentally sustainable process technologies.
Uniting Technology and Sustainability
The agreement brings together Nuberg EPC’s global expertise in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) with EDL’s advanced processing technologies. The alliance aims to accelerate the development of efficient, environmentally conscious solutions that cater to the growing demand for cleaner industrial operations.
Upgrading Low-Quality Feedstocks
A major highlight of the collaboration is the transformation of low-quality raw materials into value-added products. This will be achieved through state-of-the-art techniques such as solvent deasphalting, dewaxing, deoiling, complex greasing, and the re-refining of used oil. These methods are expected to significantly improve refining performance and environmental compliance.
Pushing the Green Hydrogen Frontier
At the core of the partnership lies a shared commitment to advancing green hydrogen technologies. The agreement outlines a roadmap for joint projects focusing on hydrogen and its derivatives, supporting global clean energy transitions and India’s push towards a low-carbon economy.
Training for Tomorrow’s Engineers
In addition to technological cooperation, the TCA will facilitate training programs designed to build local expertise and introduce sustainable process innovations to the Indian market. These initiatives are intended to foster long-term skill development and empower engineers with future-ready knowledge.
Leadership Perspective: A Vision for Impact
Commenting on the agreement, A.K. Tyagi, Founder and CMD of Nuberg EPC, said the collaboration is a game-changer. “We believe in building partnerships that combine innovation with efficiency. This strategic alliance will set new benchmarks in sustainable engineering,” he remarked.
EDL’s CEO, Daniel Oryan, hailed the agreement as a landmark for both firms. “This TCA marks a key milestone in our history. We are grateful for the trust placed in us by Nuberg and are excited to begin executing meaningful projects together,” he said.
As the global industry pivots toward sustainability, the Nuberg-EDL partnership stands out as a forward-looking model for green transformation. Through joint innovation and knowledge exchange, the alliance is poised to make a lasting impact on refining technologies and the future of green hydrogen.
